Who is suitable for Profhilo filler?
The Profhilo treatment is suitable for a vast range of candidates, and there is not necessarily a specific age group. Anyone who has begun noticing skin laxity or the first signs of ageing would be ideal for this filler type. However, it can also be used for younger clients as a preventative measure, retaining the collagen within their skin and increasing hydration. Is Profhilo a painful treatment?
Much like when injecting any other filler type, the Profhilo treatment will come alongside a slight scratching or stinging sensation but is not painful. If you are particularly worried about potential discomfort, you are welcome to apply numbing cream or topical pain relief; however, this is not typically necessary.
Is there any downtime after the Profhilo treatment?
For at least the first 24 hours after your Profhilo treatment, we would strongly recommend avoiding wearing makeup, completing strenuous exercises such as going to the gym and hot steam rooms. You should also avoid having any other cosmetic procedure for no less than 48 hours after your appointment. If you find that you experience slight swelling or bruising around the injection points, we advise staying away from sun exposure.
How often will I need to top-up Profhilo filler?
Although results do differ based on the client, Profhilo filler typically lasts anywhere between six and twelve months. To maintain optimum results, many of our clients book in for a top-up every six months or whenever they start to notice their filler wearing off.
Will the results from my Profhilo treatment be immediate?
After your first treatment, you will be able to notice an improvement in your skin; however, all Profhilo treatments are carried out in a set of two sessions, four weeks apart. The Profhilo diffuses inside the tissue over a period of four weeks after the injection, so you will see visible results just before your second session and full results four weeks after that. In some cases, when there is more extreme laxity, our experts may recommend a third treatment, but this will always be discussed in your consultation.
Is the Profhilo treatment safe?
