Treatment Overview
For non-surgical removal of “smokers” lines or lip lines, we use soft surgery with PlexR® at LasaDerm which is a revolutionary and patented innovation, opening a new and exciting frontier in the field of Medical Aesthetics. We are very pleased to be able to offer this technology as one of the first clinics in the UK and the technique is performed by our trained, experienced and certified doctor. Non-surgical removal of lip lines is performed without cutting.
PlexR®, is a device that forms plasma to sublimate the wrinkled lines. It delivers its energy only on the superficial skin cells, without affecting deeper tissues. The result is immediate reduction of the wrinkles as well as the shrinking of the skin in the region around the lip.
This non surgical technique is defined as “dynamic” as it enables the practitioner to work exactly where the lines and wrinkles are. A typical session will last no more than 15 minutes and the tiny point-like crusts will fall off after 3 to 7 days. Depending on the nature and extent of the wrinkles and area treated you may need between 1 and 2 treatments and this is included in the price.
Patients may experience some swelling and soreness in the treated area following the treatment. Any residual crusts do disappear within 7 days, and should be covered with liquid foundation provided. During your consultation, our doctor will discuss your suitability for the treatment and what you can expect.
During your Plexr treatment you will only have a topical anaesthetic applied to the skin. The Doctor will be able to clearly see which folds of skin are still to be treated – this maximises the effectiveness of treatment.
