About Our Face and Neck Tightening

It’s not just wrinkles and uneven tone that makes your skin look older. As years go by your collagen and elastin fibres weaken and deplete leading to slack skin. RADIOFREQUENCY energy alone is primarily used to treat skin laxity by facial tightening and is best suited to patients with mild to moderate sagging of facial tissues, usually those in their thirties to early sixties, with any skin colour.

Radio Frequency generates heat in the skin and in the subcutaneous tissue beneath it. The heated collagen tissue shrinks slightly, giving an immediate tightening effect which then builds new collagen later. It’s collagen that plumps up the skin, and we lose one percent of it every year of our lives. So by the age of 25, we have lost a quarter of our naturally produced collagen, and by 50 we’ve lost half of our naturally produced collagen. Radio frequency stimulates its production for months after the treatment.

How long does the procedure take?

If you are only having your face tightened it takes roughly around 30 minutes however if you have both face and neck it takes approximately 40 minutes to an hour.

What should I expect from the procedure?

A protective gel is applied to areas that need; clients may feel a deep warming sensation once the treatment starts. No anaesthetic is required. Therefore you will act as a guide to the depth of the sensation as the handpiece moves across your face.

How long does it take to see results?

Some patients may find that they can visibly see results immediately. For optimum results, we recommend that patients have a course of 4 treatments that will last for up to 12 months after.
